For too long, funding for essential services and supports for San Francisco seniors and people with disabilities has been a yearly battle, with good years and devastating years, depending on the City budget.
Together with the Dignity Fund Coalition, we passed a first-in-the-nation law in 2016 which designates annual funding for essential community-based services and supports for San Francisco seniors and adults with disabilities.
We’re now working to ensure the new dollars begin to roll out as fast and effectively as possible in a way that supports equity, choice, independence, and dignity.
The Dignity Fund Coalition is a broad coalition of San Francisco nonprofit and community organizations and advocates who have come together to address the growing need for services and support for seniors, adults with disabilities, veterans, and those living with chronic illnesses.
