Community Living Campaign Program Updates
Our Virtual Community Connector Network has a full calendar of phone and online activities; – come join the fun! Dedicated neighbors and staff with our Food Networks are making over 220 weekly grocery deliveries; and computer trainers are offering virtual tech help. SF ReServe and our Partners are enabling ReServists to work from home; the SF Tech Council and Dignity Fund Coalition are holding virtual meetings
SF Senior Beat is going strong! Reporters are adapting to interviewing by phone and Zoom, and are working on news stories about how older adults are managing during the pandemic.
Extending sick time and work options. Part of keeping participants and staff healthy is making sure our staff have the financial support they need to take time to get well when sick, and that they can continue to earn needed income at current levels even if their regular tasks have been temporarily cancelled. We have shifted all staff to working remotely, and are working to make sure everyone has the support they need.

Transportation (Use Sparingly!)
Remember to only travel for essential trips: to get food/medicine, to get medical care, to go to an essential job, and to provide care. Wash your hands before and after traveling, and be sure to keep a distance of at least 6 feet from others.
- San Francisco Muni. The following are the only routes in service: N Judah Bus; L Taraval Bus; T Third Bus, 1, 5, 8, 9, 12, 14, 14R, 19, 22, 24, 25, 28, 29, 38, 38R, 44, 49, 54, 714 BART Early Bird Shuttle. See SFMTA website for schedule info. Board through back door, except for those with accessibility needs.
- SF Paratransit. Operating for essential travel.
- Shop-a-Round. Taking 2 people per van.
- New! SFMTA Essential Trip Card. Discount taxi program for seniors (65+) and people with disabilities to take essential trips. Call 311 to apply.
- New! SFMTA Slow Streets Program. This new program will close some streets to through vehicle traffic to prioritize walking/biking and to provide more space for social distancing during essential travel by those modes.
- BART. Monday-Friday: 5am to 9pm with trains running every 30 minutes; Red and green line direct service to/from SF ends earlier in evening. Saturday & Sunday: 8am-9pm with regular train schedules.
- Limited Parking Enforcement in San Francisco. Not ticketing for street cleaning, 72-hour limit, time limit parking, commuter shuttle zones, and peak hour tow-away zones. Colored curb zones, bike/transit lanes, fire hydrants, etc. are still enforced.
- Taxis, Lyft & Uber are operating with practices to minimize virus transmission. Lyft and Uber have suspended ride sharing options. Avoid handling cash by using Flywheel (for taxis), Lyft and Uber apps.
Keep Movin’ and Groovin’
There’s no reason to just sit around at home! Get out a take a walk around your neighborhood – wave at the dog walkers and say hello to passersby while maintaining social distancing. Put on your favorite dance music or YouTube video and dance, dance, dance. Keep up an exercise routine:

We’ll keep posting more videos, and will be offering live stream exercise classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-11am. Want to dance on your own? SF Public Library is a Virtual Oasis for Learning
The San Francisco Public Library has a robust range of digital services that give card holders 24/7 free access to ebooks, audiobooks, magazines, movies, classes, music and more. It is all available for free with your library card. You can even apply for a digital library card from home!
If you have a permanent or long term disability that prevents you from visiting the library, you can sign up for Library Access from Home. You can get your library card, use online resources, and borrow things via mail.
