Art Viewing Adventures: Abstract Extravaganza (Virtual)
Mon July 27, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join Rodney Paul, an experienced museum guide, for an educational and fun virtual session focused on abstract art. Rodney will be joined by fellow museum guide Bernice Iwamoto to discuss works of abstract art they have selected. Neither will know what the other has chosen, and they will ask questions of each other about the works and invite members of the audience to also share their thoughts. Though some people find approaching abstract art a challenge, having different people talk about what they see is a good way to find meaning and have fun with art.
Rodney has been leading Zoom-based art tours long before shelter-in-place, as a way to share art from a distance. In his tours, he provides information to help viewers mine the artworks for meaning based on their own experiences and perceptions.
