Art with Elders: Introduction to Watercolor Painting (Virtual)
Thu September 17, 2020 @ 11:15 am - 12:45 pm

This class will show a 30-minute video on the history of watercolors, go over some basic techniques that can help folks get started, and will conclude with a studio session. Very basic watercolor materials are all that will be necessary, such as the basic white watercolor kits (they have about 12 colors and come with a simple brush). Basic paper is fine, but watercolor paper or anything a little thicker will work better. If you have access to a board or tray that you can be “masking-tape” the paper to, that will only make it even more professional.
Mark H. Campbell, MFA, has been an instructor for AWE (Art with Elders) for almost 25 years teaching at Laguna Honda and has been the Executive Director of the program since 2013.
