A Collage a Day Keeps the Blues Away (Virtual)
You don’t need any art background or special expertise to make a collage.
Each week, Lola will show you easy techniques to help you succeed. Every class begins with a short video or slides featuring artists and techniques from around the world and step-by-step demonstrations. Then, we look at and talk about each other’s work using the ideas we are learning. It’s a nice way to get together with other older adults who have an interest in artistic expression. A different prompt will be offered in each class, giving you two weeks to work on your next creation. Lola has many years of experience making and teaching art. Class series will include the following areas of technology Lola teaches and uses with the students:
- how to take photographs of your own work with a cell-phone
- how to edit those photographs
- how to send them as an email attachment
- using Google image and Wikimedia to find and print visual components to add to your own collage using Zoom to participate actively in a group meeting.
