Drama with Friends, a free Zoom production. Enjoy an evening of short plays from local and distant playwrights, then stay on to discuss with the playwrights, actors and friends. DwF is presented by this 4-year old CLC acting troupe.

  • “Journey to the Center of the Psycho Sexual Beast” by Kris Thompson. What could go wrong when a narcissistic author confronts his arch enemy?
  • Teaching salaries, particularly part-time salaries without benefits, don’t afford a living wage. In Madeline Puccioni’s short play, “Donnelly’s,” an aging English teacher applies for a bartending job from a student she failed last year because he couldn’t read.
  • In “One Monkey Too Many” by Rod McFadden, a rebellious monkey challenges that old saw about monkeys and Shakespeare when she chooses to quit. Will her act of defiance plunge the world into despair and darkness?
  • In “Lovebirds,” also by Rod McFadden, two strangers in the park meet over a handful of bird seed and a book.
  • And, in “Where Do We Go?” by Raymond Alvin, a new-to-us playwright, we’re treated to an existential dialog between a couple of old and gritty buddies on the run.

DwF meets every third Monday night of the month at 7 PM. Doors open at 6:50 pm and show starts at 7:00 pm.

Interested in being more involved? Perhaps exercise your acting chops, attend a performance, and sign up to be a member of our troupe.
