Join us and special guest Evan Johnson (He/They), a performer, playwright, teaching artist, teaching artist and creative producer. They also perform as “Martha P. Lipton” in theaters, clubs and private gigs.
Step into the fabulous world of San Francisco drag comedienne and chanteuse Martha T. Lipton, the creation of Evan Johnson (He/They), a local performer, educator, and program director at Ruth’s Table! Since 2007, Evan has dazzled audiences as Martha in drag clubs, variety shows, and private parties. For five vibrant years, Ms. Lipton hosted the entertaining “So You Think You Can Lap Dance” at the now-closed Piano Fight in the Tenderloin.
Evan has also made a mark as an actor, clown, director, and playwright. A proud graduate of the Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre in 2006, they embrace the freedom of dressing up and expressing themself creatively. As the Founding Director of both the Cosmic Elders Theatre Ensemble and the Harvey Milk Center for the Arts’ Junior Acting Troupe, Evan supports intergenerational art events, exhibits, workshops, and innovative programs at Ruth’s Table!
