The Power of Black Sororities (Virtual)
Thu May 27, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join Dr. Beverly Davis (USAF, Ret.) as she discusses the history and power of Black sororities. Founded on the principles of providing a collective voice for the betterment of the Black community, Black Greek organizations have an emphasis on social service and the advancement of women as equal citizens and leaders in the community. Black sororities actively rally for their alumnae and have served as sources of support all the way to the election of Vice President Kamala Harris. These unified efforts are just a continuation of social justice activities in the political realm of the Black sorority in the United States since their inception.
As we consider VP Harris’ first 100 days in office, Dr. Davis will paint a rich portrait of the power of Black Sisterhood.
