The Hard Stuff: Not Fixing, Just Listening (Virtual)
Join us for a monthly program, The Hard Stuff: Not Fixing, Just Listening. Every third Monday of the month will discuss different topics.
Upcoming Topics:
September 15: Fear of Falling: Have you or someone that you care for had a fall recently? Fear of falling is a significant concern as we age. Our physical and mental well being, and can even increase the risk of falls. It’s a common experience, and out of fear maybe you’re avoiding getting out for fear of falling. The avoidances can lead to social isolation, muscle weakness and a higher risk of falling.
October 20: Depression and Loneliness: Two fears for older adults that always looms over all of us. How can you not feel a sense of loneliness and depression when we’re losing family and friends, abilities like hearing, vision and balance? Let’s join together and listen and talk about how we handle these two challenges in our lives. Maybe we can learn new ideas from each other.
November 17: Holiday Upon Us…”not my favorite time of the year”: Not everyone is excited about the holidays ahead. For some, holidays increase our sadness and we want to isolate even more. Holidays can bring up difficult memories, amplify our losses and disrupt our routines. The Hard Stuff, listening no fixing. You are not alone.
