Watch Party for Sidewalk Hearing @ Land Use and Transportation Committee

Join CLC’s Sidewalk Search Party for a fun watch party where we will watch a sidewalk hearing together over Zoom — and even call in to make public comment!
Supervisor Melgar is holding a hearing on sidewalk infrastructure to dig into how the City repairs and maintains sidewalks. This will be at the December 13 meeting of the Land Use and Transportation Committee. Join our watch party, and if you have a personal story about how hard it is to navigate San Francisco’s sidewalks, or to get the sidewalks fixed using 311 or other methods, you can call in during public comment. We’ll help you figure out how!
Note: This hearing is about the City’s responsibility for sidewalks, not homeowners. Also, this hearing is not about bikes/scooters on sidewalks, trash/poop on sidewalks, tents on sidewalks, or unsafe streets and traffic. It’s about the physical condition of sidewalks, and how the different City Departments work (or don’t work!) to repair them.
