Please join us at our Annual Award Celebration, September 25th in person at UC Law’s Sky Deck and Colloquium Room or virtually via Zoom. We are continuing our tradition of honoring a local leader with our Norma Satten Community Service Innovation Award. Please join us in honoring this year’s awardee, the Rev. Glenda Hope. Glenda is a lifelong advocate, mentor, and leader in the movement for human rights and social justice. Her work includes co-founding Safehouse and a long history of improving the lives in the Tenderloin and beyond. In countless ways, she has improved the quality of life for countless San Franciscans, providing housing, essential services, and community connections.

Help support Community Living Campaign as we chart a new path for what it means to age in place for thousands of San Franciscans. Sponsors will receive promotion and recognition, preferred in-person tickets and seating, and unlimited virtual tickets, There will be a limited number of in-person tickets available starting July 14th for those giving $250 or more. We will be offering virtual tickets to those giving at any level.
Use our online form to sign on as a sponsor, purchase in-person tickets, or make a donation. Donors at all levels will have access to the virtual program on Zoom. The deadline for inclusion in the Event Invitation is July 21st, and for the Event Presentation, it is Sept. 22nd. Joining In Person for Sponsors and In-Person Ticket Holders
The in-person event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 at the UC School of Law sky deck and colloquium room, a mixed indoor/outdoor space at 333 Golden Gate Avenue. We will reach out in early September to confirm names for indoor attendees.
Joining Virtually
If you’re unable to attend in person, we hope you can join us via Zoom from 6:00 to 7:00. We will send you a Zoom link in early September.
A Little About the Norma Satten Community Service Innovation Award
Norma gave her wisdom and generosity for more than 40 years to protect the rights of seniors and people with disabilities before her death in 2010. She was an innovator who worked tirelessly to improve services in San Francisco.
Every year we honor her legacy by presenting a local leader with the Norma Satten Community Service Innovation Award. This year, we are pleased to honor Marcy Adelman, who exemplifies all of the qualities of a Satten Award Honoree. Past honorees include other remarkable leaders: Libby Denebeim (2012), Anni Chung (2013), Hadley Dale Hall (2014), Anne Hinton (2015), Patrick Arbore (2016), Eric Mar (2017), and Ashley C. McCumber (2018), and Michael Blecker (2019), Sandy Mori (2022), Maria Guillen (2023), and Marcy Adelman (2024).
Norma Satten was the first Board President of the Community Living Campaign and a tireless leaders for aging with human rights and dignity. Norma gave her wisdom and generosity for more than 40 years to protect the rights of seniors and people with disabilities.
