Our SF Reserve Program in Action
Rebecca, a retired graphic artist, was struggling to get by in San Francisco.

Rebecca found paid part-time work with the help of our SF Reserve program.
“But when I started looking for a job, I wondered who was going to hire an old lady?” says Rebecca.
Thanks to the SF ReServe program, Rebecca was hired as a marketing specialist at a local nonprofit organization, the Aquatic Park Senior Center. Her first assignment? A marketing strategy for the annual Pier to Pier Walk, including social media and press.
“Rebecca has been amazing,” says Sue Horst, director of the Center. “She’s enormously skilled and fast – a perfect project person.”
We talk with so many people like Rebecca who want to find work and contribute to their communities. For some, this is imperative due to the high cost of living in San Francisco. But many aren’t sure where to look, or are hampered by ageism, ableism, and other barriers. That’s where SF ReServe comes in. Learn more.
