That’s why the Dignity Fund Coalition and Community Living Campaign are urging our community to attend the People’s Budget Town Hall on Tuesday, April 7, from 7:00–8:30 pm at 2070 Mission Street.
Why This Town Hall Matters
San Francisco is facing a massive budget shortfall—projected to reach up to $1 billion in the coming years. As a result, the city is proposing deep cuts to essential services.
Among the most concerning:
- $2.9 million in cuts to the Department of Disability and Aging Services (DAS)
- Significant reductions to community-based programs that help seniors and people with disabilities stay connected, healthy, and housed
- Threats to programs that support independence, food access, case management, and community engagement
These are not just line items in a budget. These are lifelines.
For thousands of older adults and people with disabilities, these services make the difference between isolation and community, between stability and crisis.
