At Community Living Campaign, we know that strong communities don’t just happen—they’re built by people showing up for one another. On Saturday, March 28, we invite you to be part of that spirit by joining the No Kings Day march and events in San Francisco.
This is more than a march—it’s a chance to connect, to stand together, and to make our voices heard at a moment when so much is at stake.
What’s Happening on March 28
The day begins at 11:30 am at Embarcadero Plaza, followed by a march to Civic Center at 12 pm, and a rally at 2 pm. There will also be a tabling fair from 12–4 pm at nearby Fulton Plaza—a great opportunity to meet organizations, gather resources, and plug into ongoing community efforts.
And importantly, the People’s Budget Coalition will have a table there. Stop by, say hello, and learn how you can get involved in protecting vital services across San Francisco.
Why This Matters for Our Community
We are living through a moment of deep uncertainty. The current administration is making sweeping budget cuts at the federal level—and those impacts are already trickling down to the local level.
Here in San Francisco, the city is facing a projected deficit of $700 million to $1 billion by 2028, driven in large part by the loss of federal funding. These aren’t abstract numbers—they translate into real cuts to programs that seniors and people with disabilities rely on every day.
We are already seeing proposed reductions to social services, including those that support:
- Aging in place
- Access to food and transportation
- Community connection and mental health
- Employment opportunities like SF ReServe
For many in our Community Living Campaign network, these services are the difference between isolation and connection, instability and dignity.
Why Showing Up Matters
Movements like No Kings are growing because people are choosing to show up—together. Across the country, millions have participated in past events, demonstrating the power of collective action.
But just as important as the march itself is what happens around it:
- Conversations at tables
- New connections between neighbors
- Opportunities to get involved in advocacy
This is where real change begins.
A Space for Everyone
Whether you march for a few blocks, stop by the tabling fair, or simply come to connect—you are part of this movement.
Bring a friend. Bring your voice. Bring your experience.
And if marching isn’t your thing, consider just stopping by the People’s Budget Coalition table to learn how you can help protect the services that matter most to our community.
Let’s Stand Together
At Community Living Campaign, we believe in saying yes to community, yes to connection, and yes to showing up for one another—especially in challenging times.
On March 28, let’s do that together.
We hope to see you there.
