Human portraits can be challenging, and capturing the right expression is crucial, especially the eye, nose, and mouth features where the slightest alteration of line or shape can completely alter the attitude or appearance of your subject.
In this class, we will look at these pesky parts right in the proverbial eye, and nose around in all the various ways other artists have rendered these important elements of facial characterization. Let’s face these tricky bits together! (Image: “Never Tell” Mixed media on panel d’Arci Bruno 2009)
For this class, you will need a pencil, paper, erasure, a photo of a face and a mirror!!
