Boomer Music Talk with Richie Unterberger: Rock in Cinema: The Early Years (Virtual)

On Monday, April 26 from 6 pm-7:30 pm, rock historian and author Richie Unterberger presents a program on “Rock in Cinema: The Early Years.” This fun and fascinating talk will cover performances in feature films, and occasional TV productions, by rockers of the 1950s and 1960s like Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ritchie Valens, Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Gene Chandler, the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Annette Funicello, Lulu, and more.

In anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day, rock author and music historian Richie Unterberger presents “Van Morrison: The Early Years.” This program will highlight Van the Man’s work from the mid-1960s to the mid-1970s, from his earliest days as a singer with the Belfast rock group Them, including classics like “Gloria,” “Brown Eyed Girl,” “Moondance,” and “Domino.”
