Snapshots from Good Neighbor Summer Activities

July 19, 2021 by Marie Jobling

It has been a good summer so far and we are delighted each time we see old friends and new acquaintances in person.   We have been walking, excercising, practicing yoga, doing improv, celebrating birthdays, visiting friends in hospitals and assisted living, honoring those that have passed, standing strong for justice and so much more.

Here a some snapshots of summer activities from August

And from July – stay tuned more to come.

Meet the Bay Area Ridge Trail (Virtual)

April 14, 2021 by Cira Davis

The Bay Area Ridge Trail is a connected hiking, cycling, and equestrian trail on the ridgelines around San Francisco Bay—linking people, parks, and open space for today and future generations. Thirty years ago, park visionary William Penn Mott, Jr., who served as Director of the National Park Service as well as East Bay Regional Park and California State Parks, brought forth a big idea to unite the ridges encircling the Bay Area into one continuous park with a 550-mile Ridge Trail. Today, 390 miles are open and ready to explore, 80% of which are open to bikes and horses.

Marie Sayles, Development Director of BART, will tell us how to access the trail. She will also share maps and details about the Ridge Trail, so you can begin exploring portions of the 200 miles with friends, families, or yourself.
