Clips of Film History: Monster Movies (1920s-1950s)

Just in time for Halloween – ready to get scared? Let’s talk about monster movies from the 1920’s-1950’s. Some of the franchises are still going strong today. How many versions of The Mummy have you seen? What about stop-motion animated creatures like 1933’s King Kong?

We will watch some film clips of:

  • the monsters
  • the ‘royalty’ of horror film actors
  • the directors who loved to scare audiences
