Let’s Make Stuff with d’Arci: Getting Some Perspective (Virtual)

February 4, 2021 by Cira Davis

Getting the proper perspective has been an essential element in drawing and painting since the late 1400s. Artists use perspective to create an illusion of space and depth on a flat surface in a way that looks natural and realistic. It may seem complicated at first, but in this class, local artist d’Arci Bruno will share some simple techniques to mimic what we see and use our powers of perspective to Rule the Art World!

For this class you will need: A ruler or straight edge, pencil, eraser, drawing paper, tracing paper, colored pencils/markers/crayons.

Questions? Want to share your work? Email d’Arci: drivebypie@gmail.com.

Let’s Make Stuff with d’Arci Bruno: Watercolor Doodles (Virtual)

July 20, 2020 by Maia Veres

Sometimes you want to make something, but you struggle to come up with an idea, and when you stare at a fresh piece of paper your mind goes blank…Frustrating! Watercolor doodles are a fun way to kick your brain into gear, work out art problems, and challenge yourself to find new ways to create and experiment. Plus, you can mail out your finished mini masterpieces to a friend or loved one, or you can add them to the pages of your artist journals or sketchbooks!
