The Timebank Allows You to Share Your Talents and Swap Services

April 14, 2012 by Marie Jobling

Need a massage, a ride to the doctor, or just a friend to share dinner with? Community Living Campaign has been working with a local nonprofit, Bay Area Community Exchange Timebank, to help more seniors and people with disabilities to use this free software to build relationships through exchange. With this system, you can get more of your needs met without money, while finding creative ways to contribute to your community in exchange for hour credits. If you’d like to join, but aren’t sure how to use it yet, you can watch this short tutorial video in English http://vimeo.com/40118741 or in  Spanish at http://vimeo.com/40119200.

But learning about the Timebank is best done in person.  Come to our upcoming Timebank classes on

April 25 at 10:00 to 11:30 am  at 362 Capp St (class in Spanish),

April 30 at 10am (class in English) at 360 Valencia.

And then join us at the Aging and Disability Technology Summit on May 15th from 12pm-4:30pm at City Hall (in English and Spanish).
