Ways to Donate

Two Midtown Terrace Community Connectors holding knitted heartsTogether, we can create an inclusive San Francisco where people of all ages and abilities can truly live “in community” – with all of the rich relationships and opportunities that define a good life.

Help us end isolation and transform lives by supporting innovative, neighborhood-led programs that benefit current and future generations of older adults and people with disabilities. There are many ways to contribute.

Make a one-time or monthly gift.

DONATE ONLINE

Looking for other ways to help make San Francisco a great place to grow older? Consider one of these giving options:

Donate stock

Some of Community Living Campaign's Computer Trainers holding knitted heartsDonating appreciated securities is the most tax efficient way to give. It enables you to avoid capital gains tax in addition to benefiting from the charitable tax deduction. As a result, you can make a greater impact while saving more money on taxes. To make a stock contribution, contact: marie@sfcommunityliving.org

Give From Your IRA

Three Cayuga Community Connectors posing with knitted heartsMany donors over 70.5 years of age choose to give directly from their IRA, and receive tax benefits as they give. IRA giving helps you:

  • Meet your Required Minimum Distribution — the minimum amount you are required to remove from your IRA, or else face hefty tax penalties
  • Reduce your overall taxable income
  • Make an immediate difference, and help to build a truly inclusive San Francisco!

This secure, online IRA giving tool helps you make your gift in just a few easy minutes:

Plan a Gift in Your Will or Trust

Members of Community Living Campaign Board of Directors holding knitted heartsYou don’t need great wealth to create community. With simple gift planning, you can make a truly significant impact that can transform lives as we work together to build a San Francisco where we can all thrive in our and neighborhoods as we grow older. Including a gift in your estate plan represents your commitment to a future where people of all ages and abilities can truly live “in community”, at no immediate cost to you now. We have partnered with FreeWill to offer you their online estate planning resource, which allows you to create your legal will or trust — and start your community legacy — entirely for free.

If you already have a will or trust, we hope you’ll consider adding Community Living Campaign. Here are some guidelines about using a codicil to make change or adjustments to your will. If you have included us as a beneficiary already, thank you!
