Safety Through Preparedness
Living in California, emergencies—earthquakes, fires, power outages—are part of life. And when disasters strike, we come together to help each other.
Our Emergency Preparedness team distributes educational material at community events throughout San Francisco as well as through other Community Living campaign programs.
They meet people in their neighborhoods–at farmers’ markets, Sunday Streets, and local festivals–to encourage them to develop an emergency plan. They also demonstrate how the MyShake App works and how it can support them in an emergency.
