Building Community Through Healthy Food

CLC’S dedicated staff and volunteers annually pack and deliver over 14,000 bags of healthy foods and deliver them every week to over 300 seniors and people with disabilities. These are our friends and neighbors in the neighborhoods below who can’t travel to food pantries on their own.

  • Oceanview/Merced Heights/Ingleside (OMI),

Human Connection

Food deliveries don’t just bring groceries – they bring human connection.

Every week, staff or volunteers reach out to grocery recipients to connect with them. These weekly, ongoing connections create a relationship in which both participant and staff or volunteer benefit. It provides a basis for understanding how each is doing and facilitates offering care and support to each other.

“The staff and volunteers do a great job, very caring all the time, a pleasure to see every week.”

Make a Difference in Your Community

Our volunteers and staff develop close relationships with food recipients. In the past year, they made over 10,600 visits and provided over 3,200 hours of phone calls and assistance. We know this makes a big difference.
